In this lesson we started by being told we was being put into course work groups and that they are groups of 4, in my group there was me, Hayley, Laxmi and Lucy. We was told that in these groups we would make our title title sequences however first before we started to make our title sequences we would first have to come up with some film ideas to go along with our title sequences.
From this we was told to create a pitch for our film idea to be presented to the rest of the class on Monday, this pitch had to show a complete film idea that had been thought up and researched by us.
The first thing we discussed within the group was which type of genre our film would be because this is a main factor when thinking up a film idea it can help decide the story for the film. After discussing this for a while we decided to combined two genres horror and thriller to make a horror/thriller film.
We then started to discuss the type of locations we could use and how this can affect the idea of our film. I then put in the idea of using the woods as a location because I live right next to one so it was easy to use and accessible. From this the ideas started to run through the group and we was able to decide the plot of our story.
The plot of our film is that two little girls are out playing in a park with a doll which is possessed, the possessed doll then leads the two little girls into the woods where they become trapped and unable to escape so they must venture even deeper to find a way out. We looked at how using this plot for the film can help us when creating the title sequence and also thought of some ideas with this but none were finalized.
The last thing we did before the end of the lesson was talk about the key research points, we then separated them so that each person had two key research points te research and then report back to the group.
